How big is the full key space? Guessing one exact Bitcoin private key from the full range is about 1 in 116 quattuorvigintillion (1.16 × 10⁷⁷). Public puzzles narrow that range. Matching a legacy address can also succeed with a different key, so its full-range address-match odds are approximately 1 in 2¹⁶⁰ instead.

Your browser generates a random key in the selected range, derives its Bitcoin address, and checks for a match. No key is sent to a server.

The counter records completed checks. A real match stops the engine and opens a private result panel.

A few honest details. Balance snapshots can change; refresh uses Blockstream’s public API. Nominal puzzle rewards are historical amounts, not guaranteed payouts. Public puzzles use compressed keys; the original challenge uses an uncompressed key. Exposed-key puzzles are outside this random-search catalogue. Closing the browser or sleeping the computer stops checks.
